Russia, Brazil to keep, strengthen bilateral trade

MEXICO CITY, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Russia and Brazil aim to maintain existing trade, economic and investment ties, with a special emphasis on the supply of Russian fertilizers, Russian ambassador to Brasilia Alexei Labetsky said in an interview with PRIME on Saturday.

“Brazil is our main trade partner on the Latin American continent, the trade turnover last year amounted to almost U.S. $7.5 billion. Naturally, we intend to develop and strengthen this trend, including in the new environment,” Labetsky said.

The mutual sympathy that exists between the countries and the relationship of strategic partnership will allow Russia and Brazil to find new tools for bilateral cooperation in the financial and investment sphere amid the Western sanctions, Labetsky said.
